About the Role📝

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Coordinator – Waste Services to lead the daily operations of our waste facilities, support strategic planning, and drive community education initiatives. This is a dynamic role that blends operational oversight with policy development, stakeholder engagement, and environmental leadership.

What You'll Be Doing 💻

Coordinate daily operations of transfer stations and landfill sites.

Ensure compliance with waste legislation and Council policies.

Lead community education programs promoting recycling and circular economy principles.

Develop and manage service contracts and third-party agreements.

Monitor KPIs and analyse waste data to inform strategic decisions.

Support disaster recovery operations and environmental clean-up efforts.

Prepare reports, business cases, and grant applications.

What We're Looking For 🔍

Tertiary qualifications in Waste Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Strong knowledge of Queensland waste legislation and circular economy principles.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in contract management and risk mitigation.

Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
