In the role of Service Officer, you will be interpreting and providing information and assistance on revenue, taxation, debt, fines and legislative matters in a client centered environment.
Your typical day as a Service Officer may include:
• Answering client phone calls to resolve revenue enquiries, ensuring a positive client experience.
• Responding to client emails and online enquiries regarding revenue enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Contribute to a culture that epitomises information sharing, continued learning, personal growth, and quality client service.
You will be supported by a positive, constructive team and divisional leaders as you do your work.
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Providing timely, helpful and supportive client service (both internal and external) whilst adhering to the Client Charter and other relevant client engagement standards.
• Providing accurate and consistent information, and/or education assistance, through various media to clients or their agents.
• Analysing, interpreting and applying relevant legislation, information and data, exercising sound judgement to make effective decisions, assessments and/or recommendations.
• Navigating computer systems efficiently and effectively to maximise efficiencies and improve client services
• Ensuring your work complies with established guidelines, procedures and record keeping standards.
• Actively contributing to the achievement of agreed team performance standards.
• Working collaboratively to identify and promote improvements which enhance client experiences and organisational outcomes.
To be successful in the position, you will need:
• persistence, resilience, and negotiation skills
• a working knowledge of digital and data technology/systems
• the ability to interpret and apply legislation and/or policy or the ability to rapidly acquire this capability
The positions are based in our Maroochydore office and flexible work options may be requested after a 90 day period. Appointed applicants will be expected to work within operating hours (8:30am to 5:00pm) and may be subject to shift rotations within these hours.
