About the role

This part-time Medical Receptionist role at Southern Vein and Cosmetic Centre in Miranda, NSW offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and customer service support to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.

We are seeking to fill this position 3 days per week.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner

Scheduling appointments and managing the patient booking system

Handling patient enquiries and providing information about the centre's services

Collecting patient information and maintaining accurate medical records

Processing payments and managing the financial aspects of the practice

Assisting with various administrative tasks as required

Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience

What we're looking for

Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service

Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently

Familiarity with medical software and electronic health record systems, and particularly experience with Medical Director & Pracsoft.

6. A friendly, professional, and empathetic approach when interacting with patients

Competence & efficiency in all aspects of administrative work including paying invoices

Previous experience with medical dictation typing highly desired.
