The Role
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Officer – Community Services to provide vital financial and administrative support to our Finance team. This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives on detail, deadlines, and teamwork.
You’ll be responsible for reconciliations, donation receipting, small grants management, and supporting the Accounts Payable function. You’ll also work closely with the Finance Manager to meet reporting deadlines and contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes.
What You’ll Do
- Complete bank, credit, and debit card reconciliations.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting.
- Manage donations and small grant processing.
- Provide support to the Accounts Payable team.
- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
- Ensure compliance with funding and audit requirements.
About You
- 5+ years’ general accounting experience (or relevant qualification).
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Skilled in reconciliations and general ledger work.
- Proficiency with accounting software (Sage Intacct, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar).
- Intermediate Excel and MS Office skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
