About Us

Industrial Metal Services is a leading provider of metal recycling solutions in South-East Queensland. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service, we support industrial and commercial clients across the region. We're currently looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our busy scrap yard in Crestmead.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the first point of contact for customers and drivers, your day-to-day duties will include:

Greeting customers and handling general inquiries

Managing daily cash and EFTPOS transactions

Booking transport and coordinating with freight providers

Processing weighbridge dockets and daily yard entries

Data entry and maintaining accurate records

Supporting the office and yard teams with admin tasks

Ensuring office supplies are stocked and organised

What We’re Looking For

Previous admin or customer service experience (scrap metal or industrial setting preferred)

Confident handling cash and using MYOB & ScrapIt systems

Good computer skills – especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

A friendly, professional approach when dealing with customers and drivers
