Remote & Isolated Children's Exercise (RICE) is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator for a permanent part-time position working three days per week. This role involves working in our creche programs in Orroroo and Hawker, with travel from our Port Augusta base in RICE vehicles.

The Role:

Creche-based during school terms

Orroroo on Mondays and Tuesdays

Hawker on Fridays

Opportunity to "catch your breath" during school holidays

Travel from Port Augusta to creche locations in RICE 4WD vehicles – (travel from Quorn/Wilmington can be arranged)

Paid travel time included

About RICE:

Remote & Isolated Children's Exercise (RICE) is a unique not for profit organisation, based in Port Augusta and committed to providing services to geographically isolated families with children.

We service rural & remote South Australia with a travelling playgroup, 'Activity Day' program, preschool education delivered via distance education, creche services at Orroroo & Hawker, PLUS the unique Outback Childcare program.

This position is focused on supporting our creche program. Our creche operates 8.45am – 3.15pm during school terms.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be a highly experienced educator with a Certificate III Early Childhood Education & Care

A passion for working with children and supporting families

A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

A current driver's licence

You Will Also Need (or Be Willing to Obtain):

A Working with Children Check (WWCC)

First Aid & CPR certification (Education and Care Setting)

RRHAN-EC certificate
