Your Opportunity
Plena Healthcare is seeking an experienced (or aspiring) Team Lead Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic mobile team, delivering high-quality services to adults living in residential aged care and community homes across Melbourne and Tasmania.
As a Team Lead, you’ll combine hands-on clinical work with mentoring and leadership, guiding a team of Speech Pathologists to deliver excellence in care. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting adults living with conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and age-related decline.
Your Role

- Deliver dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions.
- Provide in-person and telehealth services across residential care and community settings.
- Manage your own calendar — flexible hours and locations that suit your lifestyle.
- Work with other state-based Team Leaders, under the support of Plena's National Speech Pathology Manager, to drive positive growth and change for adults and elderly in our communities.
- Represent Plena Healthcare across Victoria and Tasmania, supporting partnerships and driving innovation and education programs across our homes and the community.
- Collaborate with Team Leads across Australia, ensuring consistency and best practice on a national level.
- Support professional growth through clinical supervision, guidance, and training.
- Advocate for and support clients with complex communication needs.
- Engage with families, care teams and support coordinators to deliver holistic outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- A degree in Speech Pathology and membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in adult/aged care settings.
- Experience in and/or desire to grow leadership skills, preferably with experience mentoring or supervising clinicians.
- A passion for improving the lives of older adults and supporting team growth.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport for travel.
