Operations Manager – Major Government Project

About the Role

As the Operations Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of key initiatives within a high-profile government program. Your role will ensure alignment with approved projects, policy priorities, and whole-of-government objectives.

�� Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and progress reports
• Conduct business system reviews and identify gaps, risks, and areas for development
• Prepare briefings, reports, and strategic recommendations
• Monitor project milestones and link outcomes to broader policy work
• Drive regular project reporting cycles, identifying interdependencies across the Branch
• Embed Aboriginal voices and co-design principles throughout project delivery
• Ensure compliance with NSW Government governance, Treasury, and Cabinet reporting standards

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience or formal training in project management
• Strong analytical and risk management skills
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
• Experience engaging with Aboriginal communities and working across agencies
• Solid understanding of NSW Government processes and financial governance
