On behalf of our client, a leading insurance firm, we are currently seeking an experienced Compliance Manager for a 6-month contract role. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-established and highly respected organisation in the financial services sector, with a strong focus on compliance with APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory frameworks.

The ideal candidate will bring deep compliance expertise within insurance or broader financial services, as well as a strong understanding of the regulatory environment in Australia. A legal qualification is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the business operates in compliance with all relevant Australian laws, regulations, and industry codes, particularly APRA and ASIC obligations.
• Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the compliance framework across the organisation.
• Provide practical, solutions-oriented advice to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and assess their impact on business operations.
• Review and update policies and procedures to reflect regulatory updates or internal changes.
• Assist with internal and external audits, and regulatory reviews or reporting as needed.
• Support incident and breach management processes, including investigations and remediation.
• Contribute to the delivery of compliance training and awareness across business units.

About You:

• Proven compliance experience within financial services, ideally with a strong background in insurance.
• In-depth understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks, including APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC guidelines, and the Corporations Act.
• Law degree or legal qualifications highly regarded.
• Ability to analyse and interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
