Manager - Business Planning & Delivery (Risk & Governance)

Pay Rate: $650 - $879 per day + Super (PAYG)
Location: Sydney CBD + WFH (hybrid)
Assignment Duration: 6 months with potential to extend
Hours: Monday - Friday, 38 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Business Planning and Delivery to join a leading Government organisation on a 6-month contract. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering the Risk & Governance (R&G) strategy, supporting business planning, and driving key strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the R&G Leadership Team to develop and monitor the Risk & Governance strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
• Support the creation and ongoing tracking of the R&G business plan in line with corporate planning cycles.
• Enable delivery of strategic initiatives across the R&G function, providing guidance and oversight where needed.
• Monitor compliance with corporate risk policies, governance frameworks, and internal audit actions; provide expert advice on risk, budget, activities, and resource management.
• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of organisational processes to advance the R&G strategy.
• Manage the operating rhythm of the function, including governance forums, meetings, and key events.
• Contribute to projects, policy development, system/process improvements, and conduct research as required.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in management consulting, strategy, project management, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in strategy or enterprise project delivery within complex organisations.
• Strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly insurance.
• Proven background in project management or project delivery, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
