Daily Rate: $750 + Super

Are you an experienced project manager ready to contribute to transformational work within a values-driven government branch? This short-term opportunity offers the chance to lead critical projects focused on truth, healing, and meaningful community engagement, particularly with Aboriginal stakeholders.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you'll coordinate multiple strategic projects across the Truth and Healing Branch, ensuring initiatives are well-planned, effectively executed, and aligned with whole-of-government priorities. This role plays a key part in embedding co-design, cultural safety, and Aboriginal voices in policy and program outcomes.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project planning, tracking, and delivery across a range of initiatives
- Develop detailed project documentation: plans, timelines, risk registers, reports
- Coordinate system reviews to identify process improvements and mitigate risks
- Prepare high-quality reports, Ministerial briefs, and strategic recommendations
- Facilitate governance, evaluation, and reporting processes across all projects
- Provide updates and briefing materials for executive and directorate meetings
- Embed Aboriginal community perspectives and co-design in all stages of project delivery
- Align projects with NSW Government reporting, funding, and compliance requirements

- Proven expertise in project management methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to risk and detail
- High-level written communication — reports, briefs, and strategic documents
- Demonstrated experience engaging Aboriginal communities and cross-agency stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of NSW Government structures, governance, and funding processes
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced policy environment
