Bar Bouni, an exciting new Lebo-terranean restaurant featuring our brand new rotisserie, is seeking a passionate Head Chef to join our team in Melbourne's vibrant Southbank Arts Precinct.

About the Role

Work closely with management and owners to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional Lebo-terranean cuisine. You'll have the opportunity to develop innovative menus while maintaining authentic traditions, all centered around our exciting new rotisserie concept.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and curate seasonal menus featuring Lebo-terranean cuisine and rotisserie specialties

• Lead, hire, train and schedule kitchen staff to maintain exceptional standards

• Ensure all dishes meet our high-quality presentation and taste standards

• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations

• Manage inventory, control food and labor costs, and optimize kitchen efficiency

• Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness

What We're Looking For

3-4 years Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience

• Passion for Lebo-terranean cuisine and seasonal, local produce

• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to work autonomously

• Relevant culinary qualifications (Cert III or equivalent)

• Excellent time management and attention to detail

• Culinary creativity and innovation, especially with rotisserie cooking

• Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory systems

• Full working rights in Australia
