Accountant / Perth City Centre / Permanent / $100,000 - $110,000 / Progression / Development / Hybrid

A market leading national engineering business with sites across Australia are looking to recruit a skilled Accountant on a permanent basis. Continued growth has led to the position being recruited. The main purpose of the Accountant will be to assist the Financial Controller with various accounting and reporting tasks. Accountant's key duties will include:

• Preparation/review of monthly/quarterly BAS, PAYG and FBT & Payroll Tax across multiple states.
• General accounting including accounts payable and accounts receivable including following up with overdue accounts.
• Coordinating with various managers for the processing of ad-hoc payments; Partnership payments, international payments, and urgent payments.
• Prepare weekly cashflow reports and assist with budgeting
• End of month accounting review and journal postings including intercompany reconciliation
• Management of fixed assets.
• Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations - multiple entities as required
• Assist with annual audit.
• Reconciliations including bank & credit card

Key skills required:

• Experience of being in a similar role and have a strong understanding of accounting standards & regulations
• Experience of cashflow & fixed asset management
• Excellent & confident communication skills
• Confident with excel and ERP systems
• Proven at meeting strict deadlines
