A market leading national engineering business with sites across Australia are looking to recruit a skilled Accountant on a permanent basis. Continued growth has led to the position being recruited. The main purpose of the Accountant will be to take ownership of finance and assist the Financial Controller with driving the business forward. Accountant's key duties will include:

• Prepare management accounts including reconciliations
• Highlight & resolve any discrepancies
• Process accruals & prepayments
• Process balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month end closures
• Provide financial reports to senior management
• Assist with preparing financial statements

Key skills required:

• Experience of being in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Excellent & confident communication skills
• Proven at improving processes
• Confident with systems including excel & NetSuite
