They specialise in reinforcing bar, mesh products, prefabricated cages, splice and starter bars, building accessories, and a full suite of technical support, cutting & bending, delivery, quality assurance and on-site services.

Position Overview

As the Senior Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for owning and growing our most strategic client relationships across the residential market, while also maintaining exposure to the commercial and industrial sectors. This is a senior role with dual focus: servicing existing key accounts and rapidly onboarding new clients. You will act as the face of the business to major customers, builders, decking contractors, concrete subcontractors, developers and partner with internal teams to deliver exceptional service, technical insight, and commercial outcomes.

You will need to be technically fluent in steel reinforcement products (bar, mesh, prefab cages, accessories) and processes (cut & bend, prefabrication, delivery, quality assurance), so you can engage at a deep level with client estimators, site managers, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of key residential accounts.

Retain and expand business with existing clients while developing new ones.

Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors and developers.

Identify and convert new business opportunities via business development and use of your relationships.

Negotiate pricing, contracts and service agreements with key decision makers.

Provide technical advice on reinforcing bar, mesh, prefab cages and accessories.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of client projects.

Prepare forecasts, track performance and report on growth opportunities.

Key Requirements

5+ years’ experience in steel reinforcement, construction materials or related industries.

Proven live relationships with residential builders and contractors.

Exposure to commercial and industrial construction markets.

Strong knowledge of reinforcing bar, mesh, prefab cages and accessories.

Ability to interpret reinforcement drawings, schedules and technical specifications.

Track record of growing key accounts and winning new business.

Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

High commercial acumen with ability to manage complex projects.

Salary and Benefits

Base $170k - $180k + Super 12% + Company Car + Commission
