DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule.
Ensure that products are produced and delivered on time.
Print Formula Sheet and job instructions.
Supervise and assist in the manufacture of various liquid and powder products.
Ensure that correct labelling is attached to all raw and finished products.
Carry out quality control procedures and record results.
Advise a qualified internal Chemist if quality control checks do not meet specifications and rectify out of specifications formula by following work instructions from a qualified internal Chemist.
Plan picking of daily Sales Orders to correspond with delivery drivers and delivery times and dates.
Enter incoming stock into software
Supervise and assist store person to read Sales Orders to determine goods to be picked to fill customer orders.
Operate forklift.
Supervise and assist store person to assemble customer orders from stock, place on pallet & convey to dispatch area. Pallet orders to be stretch wrapped to ensure satisfactory transport.
Supervise and assist store person to pack delivery vehicle with customer orders so delivery is conveyed to the customer in an efficient manner and within an appropriate time frame.
Assist store persons to write up manifest/shipping documents, ensuring all Dangerous Goods are dispatched in accordance with Australian Dangerous Goods Code.
Maintain and order as necessary, products purchased from external suppliers to ensure appropriate levels of stock are available to fill customer orders.
Supervise store persons to rotate raw material and stock on racks, shelves and pallets to predetermined position.
Ensure that both production and warehouse areas are kept safe, clean and tidy.
Ensure that all safety requirements are met by all staff and report incidences and safety breaches. Liaise with HR/WHS Consultant as required.
Implement and manage the efficiency of new machinery and equipment.
Lead Toolbox Meetings
Resolve and/or report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting in the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, and directing work; setting up KPI’s; rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Devise and create ways of increasing efficiency in the warehouse and production areas to reduce operating costs as well as optimising staff levels.
Order appropriate levels of raw materials to ensure adequate stock levels of all products are maintained.
Whilst on site at a customer’s premises, the employee must abide by all the Work, Health and Safety requirements of that site and any other requirements by the customer.
Employees have a responsibility for their own and colleagues’ safety and must abide by all company policies and directives.
