Our warehouse team plays a crucial role in ensuring operations run smoothly, orders are fulfilled accurately, and stock is always organised. We are now seeking a motivated and reliable Storeman / Warehouse Assistant to strengthen our team.

The Role:
This is a hands-on position involving stock control, order picking and packing, and general warehouse duties. You will be responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched correctly, while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Dispatch:

Unload, check

and record incoming deliveries against invoices and purchase orders

Report and process damaged or incorrect stock

Prepare outgoing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality of packaging

Load and unload delivery vehicles safely

Stock Management & Inventory Control:

Accurately record stock movements using warehouse systems or manual records

Carry out regular cycle counts and assist with full stocktakes

Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management

Rotate stock to minimise wastage and maintain product quality

Warehouse Operations & Equipment:

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment (training/licence may be provided)

Safely handle, move, and store materials, including heavy lifting where required

Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse environment

Teamwork & Communication:

Work closely with other warehouse staff, drivers, and management to meet deadlines

Support colleagues in peak periods and contribute to team problem-solving

Uphold company policies and health & safety standards at all times

Skills & Requirements:

Previous warehouse, logistics, or storeman experience

Forklift licence

Good communication skills and basic literacy/numeracy (essential for stock management and documentation)

Computer literacy (experience with inventory or ERP systems is an advantage)

Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and take initiative when required

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks

Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

Current driver’s licence (manual preferred)
