About the Role
At Humanihut, we are driven by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering value to our clients. As our Manufacturing Coordinator / Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations and supply partnerships, both locally and offshore.
This role is not your conventional manufacturing or factory management position. Our manufacturing is project based, order driven and currently takes place at an offshore third-party facility requiring strong planning, oversight and influencing to achieve the desired outcome.
When production is not active, the focus shifts to preparing for future manufacturing runs and building new manufacturing capabilities, including developing the pathway to bring production into Australia. Your role is to ensure that the right partners, processes, and materials are in place so we can switch on and scale quickly and efficiently, wherever manufacturing is located.
We are seeking someone who brings an attitude of excellence and a passion for delivering consistently high-quality products, supported by deep industry experience in fabrication, aluminium, composite panel, caravan, or modular accommodation sectors. In this role, you will be pivotal in embedding best practices in quality assurance, automation, and process efficiency across current operations and future manufacturing capabilities. You will also play a key role in driving change with internal and external stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities at every stage, and ensuring our products meet both client expectations and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Be Doing:
Managing the full lifecycle of multiple production projects; factory design and setup, ramp-up, sustainment and completion.
Ensuring continuity of supply and maintaining critical stock levels.
Making regular site visits to assess and support supplier capability and performance.
Monitoring and enforcing quality standards with our manufacturing partners.
Driving innovation, improvement, and cost-efficiency across the manufacturing lifecycle.
Leading and managing relationships with domestic and offshore manufacturing and supply partners.
Identifying and integrating new technologies, materials, and process improvements.
Developing manufacturing capability within Australia.
Overseeing the planning, assembly, quality control, and commissioning of new manufacturing facilities.
With a blend of critical and innovative thinking, a great sense of humour, and a solution-focused mindset, you’ll be able to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision and just “get the job done.”
What We Are Looking For
Strong understanding of quality management systems and manufacturing best practices.
Proven experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in global or complex supply environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering larger manufacturing projects, such as, but not limited to, government, defence or automotive.
Hands on approach to achieving manufacturing results and a solution-oriented approach to navigating complex, multifaceted challenges and tight timelines.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of market dynamics and global supply chains.
Ability to manage risk, compliance, budgets, and timelines across multiple projects.
Willingness to travel internationally to oversee manufacturing runs and support the establishment of new facilities.
If you're a strategic thinker, strong planner with a hands-on approach and a passion for high-quality, sustainable manufacturing, we’d love to hear from you. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our global manufacturing operations and make a lasting impact across our business.
