Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Lead to take ownership of our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately, trucks are loaded securely and safely, and the warehouse is kept organised and efficient. The Warehouse Lead will oversee product care, repairs, and the correct return processes, while also identifying opportunities to improve storage, packing, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Organise, prepare, and check customer orders against booking sheets.

Load and secure trucks safely for delivery and collection of hire items.

Maintain warehouse organisation, tidiness, and cleanliness.

Oversee product repairs, maintenance, and quality control.

Ensure team members return items to the correct location using the correct process.

Monitor and improve warehouse efficiency, storage, and packing methods to minimise product damage.

Support the wider operations team in the field when required (e.g., event setups, deliveries).

Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with WHS practices.

Skills & Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or hire industry role (leadership experience desirable).

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Driver’s licence (manual preferred) – beneficial for assisting with field support.

Ability to lift and handle equipment safely (training provided).

Attention to detail and accountability for processes.

Roster Example

This is a full-time role that will involve evening work and some weekends, depending on event schedules and operational needs.

Example roster:

Mon: 10:00am – 7:00pm

Tues: 10:00am – 7:00pm

Wed: 10:00am – 7:00pm

Thurs: 10:00am – 7:00pm

Fri: 10:00am – 7:00pm Or Sat: 9:00am – 5:00pm (as required)
