We are seeking an Ocean Freight Specialist to join a well-established international freight forwarding business, working within a supportive operations team.

This role is all about attention to detail, problem-solving, and ensuring shipments run smoothly from start to finish. You’ll be the key point of contact for customers on day-to-day shipment matters, making sure everything is delivered accurately, on time, and in line with service expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and manage cargo reporting requirements.
• Handle invoicing tasks, including handover invoicing, customer invoicing and rate card reviews.
• Process EDO (Electronic Delivery Order) releases.
• Respond to broker and customer queries in a timely manner.
• Manage ad hoc customer contact and support.
• Conduct transhipment checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with both internal teams and external customers.
• Assist with claims handling and damage reporting processes.
• Utilise CargoWise system

About You

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, local or overseas experience
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
• A customer-focused mindset with good communication skills.
• Team-oriented, with a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Organised and dependable, with the ability to follow through and get the job done.

Salary
$75,000 - 80,000 + super
