We are seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Officer to join a local community hub on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong kitchen management experience, a passion for supporting community programs, and the ability to coordinate and lead volunteers.

About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating daily kitchen operations and food service
• Supervising and rostering volunteer kitchen staff
• Planning menus in collaboration with volunteers and managing food orders
• Maintaining kitchen stock and equipment
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety standards
• Supporting catering for community events and programs

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An appropriate Certificate level qualification in kitchen management or community services, coupled with practical experience
• Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
• A valid driver's licence
• Experience working with and supporting older people in a community setting
• Demonstrated skills in coordinating volunteers and managing kitchen operations
• Strong communication, teamwork, and basic administration/computer skills

• Dates: 8 October 2025 - 14 November 2025
• Casual hourly rate: $45.34 + Super
• Hours per week: 15
• Work schedule: Wednesday to Friday, 9:00am - 2:00pm
