We’re seeking a proactive, Victoria-based Business Development Manager to drive growth of our allograft and xenograft grafting material products within private dental practices across VIC, TAS and SA. This full-time role blends business development, account management and clinical support. You’ll be the face of our dental portfolio in the Southern Region, building strong relationships with private dental practices and specialists while expanding our footprint in the grafting materials market.
About the role
You’ll research the Southern Region dental market, identify trends and growth opportunities, and develop and execute sales strategies to increase our market share in grafting materials. You’ll manage and grow relationships with private dental practices, oral surgeons, periodontists and practice managers, coordinating product training, demonstrations and in-practice workshops for dental teams. As the main point of contact for practices, you’ll ensure smooth service and support, monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for management. You’ll also stay current on grafting innovations and share insights internally to support continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
· Research and analyse the Southern Region private dental market for allograft and xenograft grafting materials to identify trends, competitors and opportunities.
· Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists and practice managers in private practice settings.
· Drive new business and expand existing accounts through tailored sales strategies.
· Coordinate training sessions, demonstrations and workshops for dental teams on grafting materials.
· Act as the main point of contact for dental specialists and practices, ensuring excellent service and support.
· Monitor sales performance, market share and competitive activity, reporting regularly to management.
· Manage territory budgets, forecast sales and implement cost-effective growth strategies.
What we’re looking for
· Minimum 2+ years of business development or sales experience in the dental industry (experience with allograft/xenograft grafting materials preferred but not essential).
· A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing a territory or product portfolio.
· Excellent understanding of private dental practice operations and decision-making processes.
· Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage credibly with clinicians and practice managers.
· Confidence to run product demonstrations, training sessions and chair-side support where appropriate.
· High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams.
· Good commercial acumen, able to interpret sales data, spot trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
· Organised and proactive with effective planning and territory management skills.
· Must be based in Victoria with a current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across VIC, TAS and SA.
