Team Leader (SIL & Community Access)
- Central Coast

This isn’t a job. It’s a career.

Starting with WHY

At Coastal Age & Disability Care (CADC), we believe the surest way to deliver exceptional participant outcomes is to invest deeply in our people. When staff are trained, supported and held to high standards, participants thrive; homes run smoothly, shifts deliver results, and families feel the difference.

Our leadership and management teams are the engine room of that excellence. We train, grow and foster only the best. We don’t lower our standards. Respectfully, not everyone fits the mould. This is a top-tier team, and we only add top-tier leaders.

If this resonates with you, please read on.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Manager, not a support worker. Your background might include frontline support, but your edge is operational leadership: setting the rhythm, lifting performance, and owning outcomes across multiple sites. You’ll work across the length of the Central Coast in our SIL homes and other locations, being visible, hands-on, and decisively managerial.

How you’ll lead (and win)

Your focus is your team, so theirs can be the participants. You set the rhythm, build capability, and hold the line on standards so teams can deliver safe, high-quality support. You coach in the moment, clear roadblocks quickly, and turn expectations into habits—clean notes, safe meds, tight rosters. You’re visible across sites when it matters, not as extra hands on the floor but as the manager who makes the floor work.

Own performance: set clear standards, coach for capability, address issues early, and recognise the right behaviours.

Run tight operations: rosters, audits, documentation, medication and WHS. Accurate, on time, with no surprises.

Drive participant results: align teams to goals, ensure quality practice, and close gaps fast.

Model composure: be present on shift when it matters, bring calm in a crisis, and set the tone.

Partner smart: work closely with your Service Manager to remove roadblocks and scale what works.

What you bring

This is a true management role. You lead adults with clarity and respect, set targets, measure what matters, and act on it. You balance people leadership with operational discipline. This includes feedback loops, performance conversations, audits, and smart use of systems and data. Your personal standards are high, your communication is direct, and you recognise great work while addressing issues early, keeping everyone focused on what counts: outstanding participant outcomes.

Proven experience in frontline/middle management, confident leading people, not just tasks.

Commercial acumen and strong follow-through, you think like an owner and deliver like a pro.

High personal standards (higher than the ones you set for your team).

Systems confidence (notes, rosters, audits) and excellent stakeholder communication.

Must-haves (or a plan to get them fast)

Formal management training : e.g., a Diploma of Leadership & Management or an undergraduate degree (Management/Business/Health Services or similar); or considerable, demonstrable leadership experience running teams and operations.

NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, First Aid & CPR, and NDIS Orientation Module (or ability to obtain quickly).

Driver’s licence (you’ll travel across Central Coast sites).

Relevant quals in Disability/Community Services are beneficial but not mandatory.

Full Australian working rights.

Based on the Central Coast or willing to relocate.

The Offer : Built for Exceptional Talent (not the rest)

$100,000 base + super + benefits + flexibility (well above market for a middle management role – great pay for exceptional talent).

Tools, paid professional coaching & training + a leadership group that backs you to succeed every step of the way.

Clear pathway to senior management as we deliver on ambitious five-year growth plans – not the faint of heart.

Where this can take you

Step in as a CADC Team Leader now, grow into Senior TL, Service Manager and beyond. We develop leaders : and we promote on exceptional performance.

How to apply:

Please prepare a cover letter answering these three questions:

Why CADC? What about our staff-first philosophy resonates with you?

Standards: Share one standard you raised : and how you kept it there.

Multi-site outcomes: How have you driven measurable results across multiple sites?

Alongside your cover letter, please upload your CV (PDF) and provide at least two recent professional referees.

If you don’t address the three prompts in your cover letter, we won’t progress your application.

Application standards: please read!

We value original thinking and real examples. Generic or obvious AI/ChatGPT-style scripts are easy to spot and will be set aside. Speak naturally, be specific, and let your leadership voice come through.

Accessibility note: If you need an alternative to video, email [email protected] so we can arrange a suitable option.

Our hiring process

Stage 1 : Intro call (15–20 mins): alignment on role, expectations and your leadership approach.

Stage 2 : Panel interview: deep-dive into experience, scenarios and operational judgement.

Stage 3 : Practical exercise: a short, real-world task/case to see how you think and lead.

References: we require a minimum of two recent professional referees prior to offer.

Adjustments or access needs? Tell us : everyone deserves a fair go.
