The Role
We are seeking an APS5 HR Advisor to join the WHS and Wellbeing team. This position is offered as a 12-month non-ongoing contract or via permanent transfer (s26). Based in Canberra, you will play a key role in coordinating WHS and wellbeing programs, providing advice, and supporting initiatives that foster a safe and positive work environment.

Duties

• Coordinate WHS and wellbeing program activities.
• Provide secretariat support to the National Health & Safety Committee.
• Manage WHS mailboxes and associated administration.
• Contribute to case management, wellbeing initiatives, and ergonomic assessments.
• Assist with reporting, procurement and learning management system (LMS) administration.

Skills and Experience

• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, or the ability to quickly develop this understanding.
• APS HR or WHS experience highly regarded.
