Due to growth plans in the years ahead, they are looking to appoint a new Group Accountant to join their close-knit team on a full-time permanent basis.

Your new role

As the Group Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity across multiple entities. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation of monthly management reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. You will also oversee the fixed asset register, support the budgeting process, and ensure compliance with GST and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management reports and group consolidations
• Reconciliation of intercompany accounts and balance sheets
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Lodgement of monthly and quarterly GST returns
• Support and training on a bespoke ERP system
• General ledger maintenance in line with International Accounting Standards
• Variance analysis and ad-hoc financial reporting
• Coordination of the external audit process
• Process improvement and workflow optimisation
• Ensuring compliance with internal recordkeeping policies
• Business partnering and collaborating across all departments

What you'll need to succeed

• CA/CPA membership is ideal but not essential
• Proven experience in a similar accounting focused role, ideally within a multi-entity environment
• Strong knowledge of integrated accounting systems and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Go-getter attitude to work, willing to put your hand up to additional projects
