About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of Davidson's financial reporting while also partnering with the business to drive growth and informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end reporting to Group Board and Executives
- Month-end accounting including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and gross margin reporting
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and consolidated accounts
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and associated journals
- Supporting EOFY statutory accounts, group audit, and taxation obligations
- Preparing FBT returns, BAS and IAS lodgements
- Delivering ad-hoc reporting and analysis for business leaders
- Building strong relationships across the business to provide commercial insights and support decision-making
About You
You're not just technically strong, you're a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to use your initiative. You enjoy building relationships and are comfortable stepping into a business partnering role, where your ability to think outside the box adds real value.
We are seeking someone who is:
- Degree-qualified in Accounting (CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion)
- Experienced in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and compliance
- Commercially minded with strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused with the drive to make things happen
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Tech-savvy, with experience in Power BI considered beneficial but not essential
- Exposure to consulting or professional services environments will be highly regarded
