The Limbada Group – Team Accountant (Full-Time, Part-Time Considered | In-Office Role)

The Limbada Group is an established and diversified investment firm with a proud history spanning over 65 years. Our operations cover several sectors, including commercial property asset management, over-50s lifestyle resorts, childcare management, and residential and commercial development.

We are currently seeking a CPA-accredited or Chartered Accountant, or professionals in the process of accreditation, to join our team at our Eight Mile Plains office. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to contribute within a focused accounting team (3 current members), working under the guidance of the Senior Accountant and Directors on development and investment feasibility analysis, cash flow and profitability forecasting, and stakeholder reporting.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Working alongside the accounting team to ensure timely preparation of monthly rental invoices for commercial tenants, including outgoing budgets and reconciliations.

Assisting with follow-ups on rental and outgoing arrears.

Supporting accurate data entry related to commercial property management and accommodation businesses.

Assisting with invoice review and payment processing.

Preparing quarterly financial reports for the group and its entities, with oversight from the Senior Accountant.

Contributing to cash flow forecasting and financial modelling.

Supporting the review and development of business, investment, and development feasibilities.

Assisting with end-of-financial-year processes alongside the group’s tax reporting accountants, including preparation, review, and responses to external accountant queries.

Collaborating with the wider team on rent reviews, market appraisals, contract negotiations, maintenance, and other operating expenditures.

Providing support in the management of Directors’ and stakeholders’ personal financial affairs, including SMSFs and managed funds.

Contributing ideas to improve financial systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and performance.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

3–5 years’ proven experience in an accounting role within a team environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

CA/CPA qualification (preferred) or currently working towards completion.

Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and financial reporting requirements.

Demonstrated experience with month-end processes and statutory reporting.

Proficiency in MYOB and strong skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and financial analysis.

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Prior exposure to the property sector (management, investment, or development) will be highly regarded.
