The Company:

Mars Recruitment are partnering with a reputable business within the services sector that is looking for a switched-on management accountant to join the team initially on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role is well suited to a candidate that is experienced in management reporting e.g. budgeting, forecasting, analysis etc and tends to get involved in business improvement projects.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the financial controller, you will be responsible but not limited to the following duties:

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making and business goals.
• Analyse costs, profitability, and financial performance, providing actionable insights for cost optimisation and efficiency.
• Conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis, delivering recommendations to enhance financial outcomes.
• Identify and implement process improvements in financial systems and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Partner with leadership and departments to provide financial insights, ensure policy compliance, and support strategic initiatives.
• Maintain adherence to financial regulations and audit standards while identifying and mitigating financial risks.

The Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field & CPA/ CA Qualified
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in management accounting, financial planning, or analysis
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control and ideally within a similar industry
• Intermediate excel and financial modelling skills e.g. ability to build on preestablished models
• Strong capability in financial analysis and data interpretation to drive decision making
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
• Available on short notice / immediately available
