About the Role

Are you passionate about governance, policy, and ensuring high standards of compliance? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Coordinator to join our Corporate Compliance Unit. In this pivotal role, you will conduct audits, review Council operations, and support the development and implementation of corporate policies and plans.

You’ll work closely with the Manager Corporate Compliance to ensure Council activities align with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. This is a dynamic role that offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews across Council operations.

Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance obligations.

Assist in the development and maintenance of corporate policies, plans, and documentation.

Support the administration of the Corporate Information System.

Contribute to the preparation of strategic and operational plans, annual reports, and other key documents.

Assist with Freedom of Information and regulatory compliance matters.

Maintain accurate records and ensure integrity of compliance documentation.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Certificate IV or higher in Public Administration, Law Enforcement, Investigations, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of legislation, policy, and compliance frameworks.

Experience in compliance monitoring, auditing, or investigations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-culturally.

High-level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and records management systems.

Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

Salary & Benefits:

Base Salary:$89,905.115 to $98, 881.53 per annum (depending on experience)

Leave Entitlements: 6 weeks annual leave + 10 days personal/sick leave
