The role:

Cater Care is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Chef Manager to lead the daily culinary operations at our aged care residence in Toronto, just a 35 minute drive from Newcastle, NSW . This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience while ensuring a well-organised and efficient kitchen environment.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Key responsibilities:

• Dual responsibilities in food preparation/presentation and site management
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety practices
• Stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking
• Assisting with bulk cooking operations
• Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
• Participating in administrative and staff hiring, with support from the Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will have:

• A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Experience managing labour, food, and operational costs
• Previous experience in kitchen operations and/or site management
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
