About the position:

This position is responsible for the provision of a quality Heritage services that meet the needs of the clients of the Geraldton Regional Library.

Act as a point of client contact in the City of Greater Geraldton Regional Library Heritage Services Department, respond appropriately and effectively, and support the provision to the clients of a high standard of heritage services.

Actively participate in the teamwork responsible for the delivery of excellence in customer service.

Ensure a professional work environment and strive to continuously improve teamwork processes and effectiveness in the work area and across the organisation.

This is a permanent part-time role working 56 hours per fortnight.

Key accountabilities:

Undertake a variety of Heritage Services administrative duties

Respond to heritage related enquiries

Provide support to the Library team as required including desk shifts, shelving and events

Assist with the organisation of Heritage Services activities, events and projects

Position requirements:

The City is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Heritage Services Officer to assist in the provision of local history library services for the community. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the history of the City of Greater Geraldton area alongside excellent administration and customer service skills.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

This position has a salary starting from $76,072 per annum pro rata or $38.4981 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
