Creative Head Chef – Burgertory (Coburg)

At Burgertory, we’re on a mission to redefine the burger experience. We’re looking for a visionary Head Chef to take the lead in redesigning our menu, elevating our flavours, and setting the gold standard for quality, presentation, and performance across all Burgertory stores.

This role isn’t just about cooking. it’s about leading. Based at our flagship Coburg store, you’ll transform it into the example location, the benchmark that every other Burgertory kitchen will follow.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary package of $90,000 – $110,000 (based on experience).

What You’ll Do

Redesign and reinvent our burger menu to create unforgettable, crowd-pleasing favourites.

Lead the kitchen team with passion, energy, and creativity.

Ensure every burger leaving the pass is a showcase of quality, consistency, and presentation.

Drive performance by setting high standards for food safety, efficiency, and service.

Train, mentor, and inspire kitchen teams across the group; turning Coburg into the training hub for all future Burgertory chefs.

Collaborate with management on supplier selection, menu costings, kitchen systems and prep schedules

A commitment to the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety.

What We’re Looking For

A proven Head Chef or Senior Chef with experience in high-volume kitchens.

A creative flair for menu design and flavour innovation.

Strong leadership skills and be able to motivate and train diverse teams.

Passion for burgers, street food culture, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Organised, reliable, and capable of managing kitchen operations from prep to pass.
