Hussey & Co, established in 1975, are renowned for producing Australia's finest gourmet baby leaf salad mixes.

As our Technical Coordinator you will be in a fast paced FMCG environment, working alongside highly qualified professionals in an expanding role.

Reporting to the our Head of Technical your responsibilities will involve day to day management of the Technical requirements on-site and the delivery of optimal process efficiencies.

Hours of work are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm.

To be the successful candidate you will need:

3+ Years in a similar role

A qualification in Food Science or similar

Be a Certified Food Safety Practitioner

Experience in FMCG industry

Sound knowledge of WSE, SQF, CFMSR & HACCP standards

Experience working in a manufacturing environment ideally with exposure to fresh produce production

Experience with food safety systems administration and food safety audits

Excellent people skills with strong written and verbal communication

A strong work ethic, with a flexible approach and a sense of urgency

Strong willed and have the ability to drive change

HIGH attention to detail

Sound IT skills

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Monitor quality of fresh produce, washing and packing process and finished product

Monitor plant cleaning, food safety controls and personal hygiene

Perform Quality Control audits on documented operating systems

Preparation and maintenance of quality documentation and records

Corrective action and process improvement projects

Management of the site sampling plan and environmental microbiological plan

Management of training requirements for staff and assist in developing a quality aware culture within the wider company.

Administration of HACCP, SQF, and Retailer Standards

Assist with the continuous improvement of quality systems.
