About the Role

As a Senior ICT Contracts Officer, you'll work with the Principal Contract and Vendor Management Officer to support the department's end-to-end IT demand identification to contract establishment process to ensure that Information and Technology Services' (ITS) strategic outcomes and value for money are achieved from each contract.

To achieve this, the following accountabilities of the role are:

• Collaborate with business clients and ITS teams regarding requirements and objectives to identify appropriate
• QITC Framework documents and approach, identify potential arrangements and/or vendors and provide strategy recommendations;
• Develop appropriate contract documents under the QITC Framework against the requirements for business and technical specifications;
• Provide advice on whole of life contract and vendor relationship management matters including contract variation, performance measurement, and negotiating improvements to services.
• Support ITS in the provision of measured and accurate advice on contracts and vendor management

Key Duties

• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure that the needs of ITS and the needs of its clients are appropriately reflected in contract relationships.
• Contribute to ITS demand identification across business areas and develop end-to-end advice including contract mechanisms and sourcing strategies.
• Work with the Strategic Procurement team to ensure ICT procurement activities are undertaken correctly, providing review and feedback on market documents and facilitating ITS technical requirements and inputs are captured, as necessary.
• Support supplier negotiations and draft contract documents, and facilitate contract award and establishment, while supporting contract managers through the transition.
• Support effective management of suppliers in alignment with agreed performance indicators, legislation, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Complete contract extensions and variations, obtaining relevant approval, and assume governance responsibilities.
• Participate in continuously improving contract management practices to deliver value for money from contracts and suppliers.
• Maintain knowledge of current ICT market trends, products, and service categories that will be included in ICT strategy and sourcing plans.
• Review existing contracts for opportunities to rationalise contracts, facilitate timely procurement, and improve value for money.
