Curlys on the Boardwalk is a much-loved, family-owned café in Mount Coolum serving coffee, brunch, and good vibes daily. We're passionate about creating a welcoming, community-focused space where our team and our customers feel like family.

We're now looking for a Head / Senior Chef to join our growing team and lead our kitchen with creativity, consistency, and heart.

The Role

This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled chef who can bring leadership, inspiration, and attention to detail. You'll be responsible for:

Applicants must be Australian permanent residents.

Leading and mentoring the kitchen team

A minimum of 1-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience is required.

Ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation of all menu items

Managing kitchen operations, ordering, and stock control

Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment in line with food safety standards

Contributing ideas and creativity to menu development

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced as a Head Chef or Senior Chef (minimum 2–3 years)

Experienced in café/brunch cuisine is essential.

Passionate about fresh, quality food and seasonal produce

A strong leader with excellent communication skills

Organised, reliable, and hands-on in the kitchen

A positive team player who thrives in a supportive, family-run business

What We Offer

Full-time role with a salary of $70,000 – $80,000 + super

Daytime hours 7-3pm (great work/life balance)
