Join City of Moreton Bay as a Community Development Coordinator, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
As a Community Development Coordinator, you will:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Multicultural communities
- Young people
- People experiencing homelessness (including the Public Space Liaison Officer team)
- As well as community capacity building initiatives around Family and Domestic Violence and Abuse, Eco Fest, Grow it Local, Connected Communities and so much more!
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of 12 to deliver impactful community development programs and initiatives
- Cultivate effective partnerships across Council, government, and community organisations
- Provide leadership support to two great Community Development Team Leaders with a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including work with:
- Help your team navigate the sometimes-challenging role of community development in a local government environment.

Are you a passionate and experienced leader, ready to make a difference?
With a background in community development and a flair for motivating teams, you thrive in collaborative environments and have a sharp eye for identifying what communities need to grow stronger and more resilient. You’ll bring:
- Proven skills in internal and external stakeholder engagement with the ability to forge and maintain collaborative partnerships
- Experience leading teams and projects in complex settings
- Strong experience in the development of individual and team capabilities - within a structured organisational framework.
- And ideally, an understanding of community development roles in government organisations.
