Bravehearts, vision is a world where people, communities, and systems all work together to protect children from sexual abuse.
Through education, support services, research, and advocacy, they are dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse and supporting survivors.
The Opportunity
As Head of Community Engagement, you’ll lead a passionate and high-performing team to deliver impactful fundraising initiatives, partnerships, and events.
Reporting to the CEO and working as part of the Leadership Team, this pivotal role will shape and drive Bravehearts’ fundraising and community engagement strategy.
This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for building corporate partnerships, growing community fundraising, and ensuring meaningful engagement with supporters nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and support the Community Engagement team to meet and exceed fundraising and engagement targets.
- Drive the strategic development and delivery of Bravehearts’ fundraising, events, appeals, and partnerships.
- Develop and nurture corporate partnerships, sponsors, and community networks.
- Oversee annual planning, budgeting, and reporting for community engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Marketing to amplify campaigns through PR, digital channels, and events.
- Ensure positive brand representation across community, business, and public forums.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and values-driven team culture.
About You
You’re an inspiring leader with a track record of delivering successful fundraising and engagement strategies. You thrive in building strong partnerships, love leading teams, and are motivated by purpose-driven work.
You’ll bring:
- Proven leadership in fundraising, partnerships, or community engagement.
- Strong financial and strategic planning skills with a history of achieving ambitious targets.
- Experience in developing and managing corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
- Expertise in planning and delivering large-scale events and campaigns.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Essential requirements:
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Current (or ability to obtain) Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and National Police Check.
