Our WA operations are expanding, and we are seeking a driven Sales Engineer to join our team. This role blends technical expertise with client engagement—helping builders, architects, and clients bring projects to life with smart, sustainable HVAC solutions.
The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you’ll act as the bridge between our technical design teams and our clients. You’ll scope, design, and sell HVAC solutions that align with client needs, industry standards, and energy-efficiency goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with builders, architects, consultants, and end clients.
Preparing proposals, tenders, and technical sales presentations.
Translating client requirements into HVAC solutions that balance performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinating with design, estimation, and project delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to execution.
Conducting site visits, inspections, and technical consultations.
Advising clients on energy-efficient technologies, ventilation, and compliance requirements (AS/NZS 3666, AS 1668, NCC Section J).
Meeting and exceeding sales targets while upholding Treadies’ values of reliability, care, and professionalism.
About You
You are technically sharp, commercially savvy, and thrive on building long-term client partnerships. You’ll be the type who listens first, identifies opportunities, and positions solutions with confidence.
Required skills & experience:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent technical experience in HVAC sales).
Previous experience in HVAC, mechanical services, or building services (sales, consulting, or project engineering).
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and HVAC design documentation.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated, organised, and driven to achieve results.
