Position in a nutshell:
As the Account Manager, you will be at the forefront of the business, taking control of a portfolio of builder and reseller accounts whilst sourcing new business. This will be a home-based, standalone position. High-level integrity and commitment is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage an existing pipeline of work, notably with builders and developers focused on residential and multi-res projects, managing the relationship with chosen resellers too
Maximise sales, market share and profit margins within portfolio ensuring targets are reached/exceeded
Develop and execute a business development plan to achieve set performance targets
Provide revenue/budget reporting
Raise the external profile and create good market reputation by developing client and stakeholder relationships
Implement and manage territory business plans to accommodate changing market conditions and new opportunities
Ideal Experience:
Proven field sales / account management experience from building materials space
Stable career history
Ambitious, tenacious and driven with a real passion for delivering beyond the clients expectations
Autonomous, tenacious, polished
Western Sydney based - the main bulk of work would be Penrith / Parramatta with occasional overnight regional trips too
Although not essential, candidates that have previously sold roofing, bricks, plasterboard, cladding, render, coatings, waterproofing, windows / glazing, blinds, bathrooms, taps, doors, cabinet hardware, flooring, timber, tiles or insulation to home builders would be highly regarded
