The Role
· Manages the agriculture team's activities including physical, human and financial resources to ensure outcomes identified in the Directorate's Operational Plan.
· Provides professional/technical advice on the team's activities.
· Ensures the provision of quality customer focused and timely safety compliance advice and education implementing WHS strategies to address the needs of the industries covered by the team.
· Ensures the Department meets its statutory obligations in relation to leading and participating in the development of legislation, policy, systems and projects.
· Participates in operational and project planning to implement the Directorate objectives
· Undertake occasional travel, work in remote areas and occasionally work outside normal business hours as required.
· Represents the Department on state and national forums and a range of committees and working groups on WHS agriculture-related issues.
Qualifications & Licenses
A diploma or higher work health and safety qualification or extensive relevant experience
