Salary: $96,731 – $101,823 p.a. + 15% penalties (based on experience)

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise Rangers in the field to provide leadership, coaching, feedback and performance management.
- Monitor key performance service metric and lead team to ensure effectiveness against required outcomes.
- Encourage and motivate team to achieve a high standard of service.
- Promote and ensure compliance with relevant Workplace Health and Safety practices and principles.
- Collaborate with Senior Community Patrol Officers to ensure seamless Community Safety operations and support where required.
- Responding to community safety enquiries and complaints
- Enforcing local laws and relevant Acts (Dog, Cat, Bush Fires, Litter, Parking)
- Investigating and managing animal-related incidents
- Issuing parking infringements and promoting compliance
- Perform the duties of a Bush Fire Control Officer.
- Review and recommend files for court prosecution.
- Delivering education programmes within the community
- Using mobile technology and GPS for field operations
- Supporting the Animal Care Facility and related duties

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a community-minded Team Leader Ranger with a passion for safety and service. You’ll ideally bring:
- Qualification in Municipal Law Enforcement or relevant experience
- Qualification in Leadership or relevant experience leading teams
- Bush Fire Control Officer Certification
- Highly developed leadership skills and an ability to supervise and coach team members
- Experience in local government law enforcement
- Strong animal management and handling skills
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to interpret and apply local laws and policies
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- National Police Clearance (under 3 months)
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
