About The Role!
The Pharmacist Advisor works within the Practice & Health Services team in the areas of pharmacy practice and clinical governance. This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity and is based at the Guild’s National Secretariat in Canberra.
The role responsibilities of the Pharmacist Advisor include:
Provide professional and strategic support across the Guild with a focus on; pharmacy practice and clinical governance, pharmacist scope of practice, primary and preventative health, Regional, Rural, and Remote Health, Indigenous Health , Aged Care, government funded subsidisation schemes, including the NDSS and NIP, government funded programs and services, including those within the Community Pharmacy Agreement, Therapeutic Goods policy and regulations.
Contribute to future Community Pharmacy Agreement (CPA) preparation and negotiation and current CPA implementation.
Monitoring of international trends in Health Care and community pharmacy with a focus on opportunities for members.
Strategic input into professional and clinical factors which might impact on the future of community pharmacy.
Contribute to Guild planning by having strategic input the development strategies that align with overall Guild strategic objectives.
Where required, representing the Guild on working parties and committees, and at meetings and conferences as required in relation to areas of responsibilities.
Liaising with key stakeholders to advance the interests of the Guild and its members.
Provide leadership and direction to the Practice Implementation team and support a collaborative team environment
About You!
The following work experience and knowledge is required:
You are a registered pharmacist
You have contemporary experience working in community pharmacy
You have contemporary knowledge of Community Pharmacy Agreement operations and arrangements, as well as of the Australian health system
You have experience with project management, risk management, policy and strategic analysis
You excel at engaging with high level stakeholders and clients in a variety of forums
