  • Temporary opportunity until June 2028, with the potential to extend or convert to Ongoing

About the Team
You will join the Closing the Gap team within Aboriginal Languages Trust branch in the Premiers Department. The Aboriginal Languages Trust is an agency committed to promoting, nurturing and growing Aboriginal languages across NSW. We work in genuine partnership with Aboriginal communities, the Trust Board and government to deliver long-term, strategic outcomes in language revitalisation.

We're Looking For

  • Policy Development & Implementation: Proven ability to manage and coordinate policy projects from development through to review and implementation, delivering improved policy outcomes.
  • Analytical & Research Skills: Strong skills in researching, analysing, and reviewing complex policy issues, with the ability to identify emerging trends and develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strategic Advice & Problem Solving: Capability to provide high-quality policy advice, develop strategic solutions, and mitigate risks to support effective decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Strong communication and relationship management skills to effectively and sensitively engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, government and community organisations, as well as demonstrate understanding of the needs of Aboriginal communities.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting: Ability to evaluate policy effectiveness, monitor progress, and report on outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
