Senior Assessment Officer

Let’s talk about the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to Manage the handling of matters involving suspected corrupt conduct, in any aspect of public administration in NSW, from receipt to closure. This primarily involves gathering and analysing relevant information and preparing internal reports with appropriate recommendations to the Commission’s executive.

This is a temporary 12-month, full-time position. Current NSW Government employees interested in a secondment opportunity are encouraged to apply.

The annual salary is $ 119,157 to $ 132,627, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%)

While this is a temporary appointment, there is a potential for future permanent positions to become available within 12 months. A Talent Pool may also be created for future temporary or permanent positions and is valid for a period for up to 18 months

Essential requirements

Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated analytical skills, judgment, and attention to detail in managing complex matters.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and ability to communicate professionally and productively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise a high-volume workload with limited guidance.
  • Experience in a high-volume complaint handing/case management environment.
  • Experience in using case/record management systems
