As a Trade Sales Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in the launch of our new Moses Mitre 10 Trade & DIY destination in Temora. From day one, you’ll support the setup of the Trade department—helping with stock and displays—while building relationships with local tradies, businesses, and the community.

Once the store is open, you’ll be on the front line of the Trade division—serving customers, preparing orders, delivering goods, and keeping the trade yard organised and safe. Working alongside the Trade Manager, you’ll help ensure every customer gets fast, friendly service and that the department runs smoothly day-to-day.

Moses & Son has proudly served the Temora community since 1920. Over the past century, we've continually evolved to meet local needs, building a reputation as a trusted rural retailer. In July 2025, we're taking the next step in our journey by launching Moses Mitre 10 – a complete Trade and DIY centre featuring a Trade & Rural drive-through, garden centre, and comprehensive hardware & lifestyle offering.

While we remain committed to our strengths in agriculture, pets, and produce, we recognise that to succeed in this exciting new venture, we need the expertise of a skilled and driven Trade Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide friendly, professional service to trade and retail customers.

Prepare and fulfil trade orders efficiently and accurately.

Assist with stock control, including receiving, unpacking, and replenishing stock.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely (with training if required).

Deliver goods to customer job sites safely and on time (if required).

Maintain tidy, safe, and well-organised trade yard and store areas.

Support the setup of displays, promotions, and merchandising.

Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.

About You

You’re a reliable team player with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service. With practical knowledge of hardware, tools, or building products and a keen eye for detail, you bring problem-solving skills, organisation, and a hands-on attitude to every task.

Candidate Requirements

Practical knowledge of hardware, tools, or building products.

Strong communication skills with a passion for customer service.

Use of point-of-sale software programs

Forklift & driver's licence or willingness to obtain.

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions.

Physically fit and capable of manual handling.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
