Join our compassionate team as a Specialist Caseworker – Domestic, Family & Sexual Violence (DFSV) supporting women and children affected by domestic, family, and sexual violence. This is a fixed term contract until 30th June 2026, working from our Tuggerah office with some travel across the Central Coast to meet client’s needs.
This role delivers trauma-informed case management, early intervention, and recovery services, to victims/survivors of DFSV by providing centred practice & empowerment, case management interventions and build client capabilities, all whilst driving and promoting change.
As part of being a valued addition to our team, you will have the opportunity to participate / or facilitate clinical group supervision, mentoring, peer supervision, reflective practice session, debriefing as well as maintaining your wellbeing, first and foremost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver trauma-informed case management and early intervention support to women & children.
- Provide risk assessments, information, support, safety planning and tailored case plans.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with internal and external services.
- Advocate for clients across housing, legal, police & court systems where required.
- Provide outreach support and maintain accurate case documentation.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations and mitigate risk.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area (e.g.: Social Work, Welfare, Psychology, Health etc.).
- Min. 2-3 years’ experience in casework, working in the early intervention or Domestic Violence space.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice response to domestic violence and child protection.
- Experience of overseeing, training and mentoring Trainee / Students.
- Excellent advocacy, networking, and crisis management skills.
- NSW Driver’s Licence and insured vehicle.
