Position: Live Comedy Production Assistant

The Role:

We’re looking for a Production Assistant to join our team and help bring our live comedy events and tours to life. From behind-the-scenes admin to being on the ground at shows, no two days will be the same. This position is perfect for someone who’s looking to dive headfirst into the world of live comedy/performance production.

Currently we’re seeking someone for 5 hours per week, with intent to review and extend at the end of an 8-week period.

About you:

You have a great sense of humour (mandatory).

You love comedy and live events.

You have an ABN.

You’re (ideally) located in Melbourne; a driver’s license is a bonus.

You’re no stranger to social media and what’s trending.

You know your way around excel and Adobe (nothing crazy, but you can do some quick maths and know a good font when you see one).

You know when to be fussy about the details, and when Chat GPT will probably do the trick.

You’re happy to tackle a wide range of tasks, and keen to learn new skills along the way.

What You’ll Actually Do:

Keep us organised: schedule meetings, manage calendars, take notes.

Help us roll out tours: register our shows for Festivals, compile call sheets, book travel, liaise with artists and venues.

Assist with promo: scheduling social media posts, writing copy, basic graphic design and video editing.

Get us show-ready: Be an occasional extra set of hands on the ground, doing what ever needs doing before doors open!
