About the role

As a Chef de Partie at IL MATTO TORQUAY' in Torquay VIC, you will be a key member of the kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to our high standards. This is a full-time position where you will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of our busy restaurant.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a range of dishes across multiple stations, ensuring consistent high quality

Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning and development

Ensuring efficient and timely service of all menu items

Actively contributing to the ongoing improvement of kitchen operations and procedures

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a busy restaurant environment

Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, plating and presentation

Strong time management and organisational skills to work efficiently under pressure

Passion for creating high quality, creative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade

Food safety and hygiene certification
