As our very first full-time Payroll Officer, you’ll be the engine behind accurate, on-time pay for our team, the detail-obsessed guardian of compliance, and the calm problem-solver who keeps everything humming.

Who are we

We empower students and their studies by providing an ecosystem of highly effective tutoring, resources and support. We run weekly small-group tutoring sessions at our in-person campuses, presented by young and experienced tutors that teach in a simple, intuitive and engaging way. We also supplement these sessions with weekly workshops, complimentary 1-on-1 support and a learning portal with a comprehensive suite of resources and practice material to help students master their subjects.

What you'll do

Manage end-to-end payroll cycles for all team members

Ensure compliance with Fair Work, Clerks and Call Centre Awards, and legislation

Administer PAYG, superannuation, Single Touch Payroll and reimbursements

Maintain accurate employee records, leave accruals and entitlements

Reconcile payroll with Finance, support audits and reporting

Look for ways to improve accuracy, efficiency and automation

Partner with Finance and People & Culture to align payroll with workforce changes

What You Bring

5+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a high-growth environment

Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance

Proficiency in Xero or Rippling

Advanced Excel and reporting skills - bonus points for bring AI prowess with you.

Sharp attention to detail and accuracy

Integrity, discretion, and excellent communication
