So you love teaching Kindy. You love the smell of new crayons, the magic of phonics “clicking” for the first time, and the wide-eyed wonder of four-year-olds discovering God’s world.

But you’re tired of the tick-box bureaucracy that kills the joy of teaching.

That’s where we’re different.

At The Classical School, Mount Lawley, we’re building something old and new all at once: a school alternative rooted in Christian faith and the classical tradition of education, alive with laughter, music, poetry, and play.

And right now we’re looking for a Kindergarten Teacher to join us in 2026.

Here’s the deal:

You must be a degree qualified early childhood teacher, ideally registered with TRBWA.

You need early years phonics experience or understanding.

You love the Lord Jesus, are active in a local church, and want your faith to shape your classroom.

You’re warm, creative, and can keep a room full of kindy kids both joyful and orderly.

What you’ll do:

Teach a small class of 3.5 – 4.5 year olds.

Half day classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 9:00am - 12:30pm plus before and after school preparation time.

Lay down rock-solid foundations in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.

Cultivate wonder through stories, songs, and play.

Partner with parents in raising children to love truth, goodness, and beauty.
